On Saturday night it felt like the whole city of Missoula packed the streets downtown and waited anxiously for the light parade to start. It didn't matter that it was freezing outside and the wind whipped at our faces. We all stayed!

Kids danced in the street. Parents took a million photos. Friends found each other and made plans for the night to come.

The parade started with the cutest reindeer-like Beagle dogs you've ever seen! Honestly they might have been my favorite part! But the parade continued with each float bringing something festive to the event.

Monte made an appearance at the start of the parade and of course the man of the hour, Santa Claus, brought up the rear. Once Santa passed we all followed his lead and made our way down to the giant Christmas tree at the XXXX's. We counted down and just like that the Missoula tree was lit up like the 4th of July!

If you get a chance, make sure you check out the tree downtown. The most special part about the whole event was that we were all there together! Happy holidays!
