This osprey is enjoying one of the premiere nesting sites in the Bitterroot Valley - the KLYQ-AM radio tower. It's probably listed among the avian realtors as having the best view in the Hamilton area. And there is a "restaurant" nearby - the Hieronymus Park pond. The nest has had a checkered history - with at least two previous versions knocked off by thunderstorms or windstorms. But the nest keeps being rebuilt and another family is hatched.

The neighbors keep an eye on the birds and always let us know when "flight school" is in session with the young hatchlings later in the spring. It's a long drop to the ground.
