Yet another community group, 'Advocates For Missoula's Future', is pushing to the University of Montana to place the new Missoula College somewhere other than the present UM Golf Course.

Spokesman Keith Kopravika says the West Campus past Fort Missoula on South Avenue, that currently houses the College of Technology diesel mechanic classes, would be a better fit for the new facility. He says the group has documentation that proves the original purpose of the South Campus area was for open land for recreation, not for buildings and classrooms.

Kopravika says Advocates for Missoula's Future will have two public meeting to discuss the issue. The first if Monday, November 5th at the Missoula Public Library from 5 to 7 p.m. The second meeting will be held at the Sentinel High School cafeteria on Thursday, November 8th again from 5 to 7 p.m.

Kopravika says the group supports the building of the new Missoula College, but not at the present golf course site.
