*NSYNC's legacy as one of the most iconic music groups of the 2000s was etched onto Hollywood Boulevard Monday (April 30), when the group received the 2,636th star on the famed Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Group members Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick were all present for the prestigious event, which kicked off at 11:30 AM PT (2:30 PM ET) and drew a large crowd of fans who camped out overnight to watch the ceremony in person.

Ellen DeGeneres and Carson Daly were on hand to make remarks about the beloved boy band, who debuted in 1998. DeGeneres called the group's music the "soundtrack to an entire generation," while Daly said they were "one of the most successful groups to ever walk through the doors at MTV."

During their acceptance speech, Chasez thanked *NSYNC's late vocal coach Robin Wiley for her contributions to the band's success; Kirkpatrick said he was "most thankful" for the group's sense of brotherhood; Fatone said it was "amazing" that the band's fans were still supporting them even though they hadn't "released an album in years"; Bass shouted out *NSYNC's LGBTQ+ fans; and Timberlake called the experience "so surreal," adding that he "couldn't put into words" what his band mates mean to him.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce also declared April 30 Official *NSYNC Day.

The star is located at 7080 Hollywood Boulevard near the corner of La Brea. *NSYNC's star joins the stars of similar groups like the Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, New Kids on the Block and New Edition.
