It seems like everyone had a favorite hip-hop artist receiving nominations for this year's Grammy Awards except for one person: Nicki Minaj. Although the Young Money star didn't get any nods, she's not salty about it.

"I've gotten tons of awards and I believe when it's my time to get a Grammy, I'll get a Grammy," she quips to the Associated Press.

We are still scratching our heads wondering why Minaj didn't get any mentions. Her second album, 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,' was the biggest-selling album of last year and her dance-pop anthem 'Starships' was a chart-topping smash.

So why isn't the Recording Academy showing any love to the head Barb?

"I think that the Grammys had a different reason, that I do not want to discuss ... and that's just between me and them," she said when pressed about the snub. "But I respect their organization and I'll get a Grammy eventually. I'm not worried about it."

While it's good to see Minaj put a positive spin on the Recording Academy's glaring oversight, it had to sting just a little that she didn't get at least one nomination.

"You do feel good when you get awards and accolades. Maybe if I had been doing this for 10 years and I thought like, 'Oh my God, I've put out 10 albums' -- maybe it would have hurt my feelings. But I still feel so new that it's like, 'Charge it to the game,'" she said. "It's part of the game."

The 2013 Grammy Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Feb 10 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
