My Favorite Event Of 2014 Is Tonight!

I could easily say my favorite highlight of 2014 was when the Seattle Seahawks won their first ever Super Bowl title against the Denver Broncos. But it's not the truth, my favorite event of the year hasn't happened yet. It happens tonight, 8pm at The Wilma Theatre. It's the annual singing competition First Night Spotlight, taking some of the most talented high school students from Western Montana and letting them show of their skills in front of over a thousand screaming fans. This is only one of the over eighty events happening today thanks to the Missoula Cultural Council.

For the fourth straight year I have been lucky enough to emcee this amazing event. It's not many times that you get a huge rush of adrenaline but walking out in front of a packed Wilma Theatre will definitely make it happen. When the lights go down and the curtain gets pulled back it will create the magic that always brings me the highlight of my year.
