As a movie geek who just moved to Missoula recently, I'd say that the Roxy might just be my favorite place in town. It offers a great selection of newly-released independent films, but also does a ton of community events and classic movie screenings.

Every Saturday, The Roxy screens a movie in a series called "Movie Cult." The idea is that each movie is one with a big cult audience, and though I've only been here a short while, I can say that the lineup has been pretty incredible every week.

Here's the schedule for this month's Movie Cult screenings:

11/3 - Hocus Pocus (a little extra taste of Halloween for the weekend)

11/10 - Death Becomes Her (one of the few Robert Zemeckis movies I haven't seen! May have to check this one out.)

11/17 - An American Werewolf in London (One of my favorites - if you haven't seen this, GO!)

11/24 - Donnie Darko (Never been the biggest fan, but I know this is a hugely popular one.)

And of course, this is all in addition to other classic movies throughout the month, like CasablancaThe Last WaltzOklahoma! and more. Tickets and all the details are available at the Roxy's website.
