A new survey by Challenger, Gray, & Christmas reveals that 78% of companies plan to offer some type of year-end gift or bonus this year. That's up from 53% last year. The survey also reveals, 50% of companies base their bonuses off of employee performance. 52% of small business owners plan to offer holiday bonuses to their employees, and that is up from 43% last year. And lastly 49% of small businesses are planning to throw a party for their employees.

I have been very fortunate to work for some incredible companies and more specifically amazing bosses. I have received in the past gift cards from Starbucks, Best Buy, and Target. The best holiday bonus that I ever received was working at a small radio company, without any warning we woke up Christmas morning with a nice amount of cash dropped into our bank accounts. It wasn't an enormous amount but really made me feel appreciated for the work I was doing for that company.

My question to you is... What is the best holiday gift you've received from an employer?
