Steve Bullock recently signed the HB 603 law, better known as the Anti-Location Electronic Spying Bill.

In a nutshell, this new bill is supposed to shield Montanan's from any electronic surveillance, allegedly allowing its citizens to surf the web, text, and email without the fear of being creeped upon.

This new bill appears to have grabbed the attention of people across the nation, some wondering if this is a step in the right direction following the much-publicized NSA scandal. The local law has also perked up the ears of reporters in the national Fox News camp who recently touched down in Bozeman, MT to get a feel for how the bill works, and how it affects our communities.

According to the report, a handful of other states have attempted to follow in the same footsteps as Montana, intending to impede unconstitutional federal actions.

Interesting to see how the nation is looking to the "Last Best Place" for answers. Perhaps, that could be the reason why we've earned the nickname to begin with.
