Gas prices are tanking all across the United States, and, according to petroleum analyst Will Spear, Montana’s prices are dropping too.

“Prices are ugly everywhere for crude and gasoline," Spear said. "Everything is just low, low, low. Looking at Montana, about $1.90 is what you can expect to pay for a gallon of gasoline. That’s sitting right on the national average of $1.89. In the last week we even saw prices in Montana drop down another six cents.”
Prices are reaching lows they haven’t seen for over a decade, and they are expected to drop even further.

“We are at $1.89 for the first time since to 2008, if you look at crude oil prices, we are talking levels back to 2003 haven’t been this low,” Spear said.

Spear says prices are going to probably drop another six cents or more in Montana this week and should keep falling till late February or early March.
