Missoula is one of the most involved communities in America in terms of Memorial Day observations. Our thanks to United Veteran's Council of Missoula and Ravalli Counties for providing a schedule of events. Hopefully a number of these appeal to you on Monday:

10:00am-10:30am---Caras Park Memorial Day Service. Wreath toss into Clark Fork River by Missoula County Fire Department Rescue Boat Crew. Honor and color guards. 21-gun salute.

11:00am-11:30am---Missoula County Courthouse ceremony. Keynote speaker U.S. National Guard Capt. Aaron Flint. Wreath placement on WWI doughboy statue.

12:00pm---Fort Missoula Military Cemetery. Honor and color guards. Wreath placement.

12:30pm-1:00pm---Western Montana State Veteran's Cemetery. Keynote speakers U.S. Senator Steve Daines and U.S. Army Lt. Col. Joe Yakawich, Ret.

1:15pm-2:00pm---Sunset Memorial. Honor and color guards. Wreath placement. New flag dedication. 21-gun salute.

2:15pm-3:00pm---Missoula City Cemetery Veteran Memorial, St. Mary's Annex statue, St. Mary's Cemetery Veteran Memorial.  Honor and color guards. Wreath placements at monuments. Single-gun salutes.

3:15pm-4:15pm---Rose Memorial Garden Park/Two Services.  Wreath placements at Korean and Vietnam Memorials. Keynote speaker Vietnam veteran Wey Symmes.

5:00pm-5:30pm---University of Montana Iraq/Afghanistan Fallen Soldier Memorial. Honor and color guards. Wreath placement. 21-gun salute.
