An old water supply dam on Rattlesnake Creek appears to be headed for removal with plans to turn the area into a conservation area and park.

It was built more than 100 years ago and was originally part of Missoula’s historic water supply.

The dam hasn't been used for years and it's thought to be interfering with fish trying to pass upstream.

The plan to remove the structure has been in the works for about two years and the removal process should begin this summer.
