UPDATE – ATV Crash Victim Identified [YouTube]

UPDATE - The victim in Friday evening's ATV crash was identified by the Missoula County Sheriff's Office as Chad David Belcourt, 38.

A 38 year-old Missoula man was killed Friday evening in an ATV crash that occurred near Evaro.

The Montana Highway Patrol told KGVO News that the unidentified man was riding a Polaris ATV eastbound on Grooms Road, He lost control of the ATV going down a hill too fast. The ATV overturned on top of him.

The driver was transported via ground ambulance to St. Patrick Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According the the MHP report, both alcohol and excessive speed were factors in the fatal crash, which remains under investigation. The man was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
