A Missoula man, Daniel Fox, has been accused of kidnapping and robbery, during an alleged drug deal that occurred on Monday, August 4.

Fox, 38, is currently in the Missoula County Jail charged with two felonies, kidnapping and robbery and two misdemeanors, obstructing a peace officer and assault with a bodily fluid.

According to court documents, Fox drove his alleged victim, Sergio Graman of Helena at gunpoint, threatening him with the use of physical violence. Graman had driven from Helena to Missoula to purchase marijuana from Fox. He arrived at the residence on Waverly street, where several people, including Fox were using methamphetamine. After taking control of Graman's vehicle, Fox then held a gun to Graman's head and ordered him to empty his pockets. Graman said Fox stole an I-phone and $200 in cash. He then released Graman, who walked back to join his friends and reported the crime.

Court records indicate that shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday, Officer Cameron spotted Fox in Sacajawea Park where he was chased and apprehended. Fox indicated in a later interview that if he had not lost his handgun during the chase, he would have killed the pursuing officer that arrested him.

Fox is in the Missoula County Jail on $250,000 bond. He did not make his scheduled appearance in justice court on Wednesday because he was reportedly still under the influence of drugs.
