Everyone seems to have an animal with which they share a special connection. A "spirit animal" if you will. Mine, for example, are penguins! There's just something so cute about the way they waddle everywhere, and my heart almost bursts every time I think about the fact that penguins are monogamous and mate for life! I mean, come on! How cute is that?!

On a slightly bigger scale, at least five of my friends share a love for their spirit animal, which is an elephant. And it's because of these lovely friends that I'm aware of such amazing events, like the showing of Love & Bananas: An Elephant Story, which is apart of Missoula's International Wildlife Film Festival.

Check the details:

Embark with a daring group of animal lovers on a daring 48-hour mission, 500 miles across Thailand to rescue a 70-year old captive Asian elephant and bring her to freedom. Elephant rescues in Thailand are rare, unpredictable and often life threatening.

See the heartwarming and hopeful film that exposes the plight of Asian elephants and the people who work tirelessly to save them when Love And Bananas comes to Missoula's Internatiornal Wildlife Film Festival April 21.
