The woman who drowned in Lake Como last Friday has been identified by Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton. He said that 28-year-old Rachel Verity Warr was swimming and paddle boarding on the lake when she slipped beneath the water. She was not wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident, which is still under investigation, Holton said.

Holton also praised the Ravalli County Search and Rescue volunteers' response with boats to Lake Como to quickly conduct the search and recovery. Holton reminded those on the waters of the Bitterroot Valley to always wear the proper protective equipment.
