After the trial of Jordan Johnson ended on March 1 with a not guilty verdict, the 20 year-old student athlete was whisked away with his parents and had no contact with the media — until Tuesday.

Our news partner Emily Adamson with NBC Montana interviewed Johnson at the office of his attorney, David Paoli.

Johnson talked about how encouraging it was to see many of his Grizzly football teammates in the gallery supporting him at his trial. He also said that it was good to be just a student-athlete again, pursing his dream of being a math teacher and coach.

Spring football drills begin Monday, March 18, and Johnson will join the other quarterbacks to compete for the starting role he once enjoyed.
