In Missoula District Court Tuesday morning, now former University of Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson entered a plea of not guilty to the charge of sexual intercourse without consent. One of Johnson’s defense attorney’s, Kirsten Pabst said she would be filing a motion to dismiss the charges.

Deputy Missoula County Attorney Suzy Boylan said Tuesday afternoon that another hearing would be held on August 21st.

Johnson is accused of raping a woman at her home on February 4th while the two were watching TV. After the alleged assault, the victim went to The University of Montana Student Assault Center where she was examined by the staff at First Step.

Charges were filed by the county attorney’s office on July 31st, and Johnson’s district court appearance was originally scheduled for August 14th, however that date was moved up to Tuesday, August 7.
