Jessica Simpson is the underrated pop princess of the 2000s. Nowadays the reality TV alum and singer is mostly regarded as the woman behind a successful and flourishing fashion empire, but once upon a time Simpson was a burgeoning, midriff-baring early '00s pop star comfortably sitting on the charts alongside Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and other post-'90s bubblegum girls like Mandy Moore.

Over the years, Simpson's musical star power would rise and fall — her career arguably culminating with a high profile marriage to and reality TV show (MTV's "Newlyweds") with 98 Degrees singer Nick Lachey — seeing the pop diva transition through music, television, films and finally, fashion.

And while Simpson may not have achieved the same level of iconoclastic success as the aforementioned Spears and Aguilera, she certainly had her fair share of chart hits and B-side gems (2006's funkadelic country bop "Push Your Tush" is not to be missed).

From her sugary pop debut on 1999's Sweet Kisses to her Nashville-fueled country crossover on 2008's Do You Know, the blonde diva who once pondered, "Is this chicken, what I have, or is this fish?" has provided a discography that is nothing less than, well... "Irresistible."
