Okay believe me when I say that I know exactly where you're coming from when it comes to the difficulty of making time to put your health and fitness first. I struggle with it every single day!

Luckily I've got a great support system in the form of my personal trainer Rachel Plumage at Ridge Fitness. She is my constant companion on this 'get my ass back into shape' journey that I've embarked on. And without her I'd still be back at square one.

On a weekly basis I workout with Rachel one-on-one and I take her Box-Core class when I can drag myself out of bed in the morning or sneak away from work for an hour! (Check out the Ridge Fitness Box-Core class schedule HERE!) I consider myself athletic but I am by no means the same athlete I was five years ago. So when I stuggle with workouts that were once easy for me, Rachel is always there to help me grind it out.

The respect that we have for each other is mutual. She would never laugh or make fun of me for not being able to do a workout. She's just there to help and guide me in the right direction.

So my advice to you if you're on the path to a healthier lifestyle is to ask for help when you need it. Need a workout buddy? Ask a friend or befriend a stranger. Wondering if you're doing a workout correctly? Ask a trainer or gym staff member, that's why they're there! It never hurts to ask...
