Our tight knit community is still reeling from the tragic loss of a legendary morning show host. Kidd Kraddick passed away over the weekend from an enlarged heart complication, which to us, is fitting in the sense that the man had the biggest heart in the industry. He gave, and gave, and then gave even more. From his Kidd's Kids annual fundraiser, to his random acts of kindness that happened on a near daily basis during his program. Kidd's influence on his listeners spanned across the world, and even sent ripples through the Missoula community on more than one occasion.

This particular story, shared back in March of 2012, is a worthy reminder of how much good this host did for Missoula and beyond. A recycled story, we realize, but one many have not had a chance to read. Now more than ever, this life altering story ofmom reunited with her daughter 19 years later, all thanks to Kidd Kraddick, needs to be shared again.

March 5th 2012 - Amy Small gave her daughter up for adoption the day she gave birth. Now, 19 years later, the mother from Missoula has been reunited with her child, thanks to Kidd Kraddick in the Morning.

Each year around Martin Luther King Day, Kidd and his morning show attempt to keep the King's message alive by helping to make peoples' dreams come true. Submissions were received from all over the nation, yet only a few dreams were selected, including one from Missoula. A dream that has forever changed the life of a local mother.

Amy wrote this letter to Kidd earlier this year:

"When I was 19, I placed my baby girl up for adoption. I said goodbye to her when she was two days old. And we've reconnected through Facebook. She is amazing in every way. She had everything I wanted her to have growing up. Unfortunately, she's dealing with some issues related to meeting me and wanted me to visit her very badly to meet her face to face. It's been a dream of mine, and I'd give my right arm to meet her, but I don't have the money to spend. She lives in a different state than me. I know meeting her would relieve many of the issues she is struggling with. I miss her more than she knows and would give anything to make this dream come true."

The Kidd Kraddick Morning show granted Amy her wish and paid for her expenses to meet her daughter. The morning show flew her down to Roswell, New Mexico to finally reunite Amy with her daughter and after four days of reconnecting the two are much closer and have some amazing stories that will last a lifetime.

Amy recently sat down with The Tallest DJ in America to share her adventures with our audience. You can hear her story below:
