A crash about a mile north of Lolo was reported at about 8:30 a.m today, July 31, which stopped traffic and may have led to a fatality. An hour after the incident traffic was still backed up a mile and a half or so to Mormon Creek Road.

According to eyewitness accounts, the crash involved two vehicles, a truck and a white 4-door Nissan (older model). The white car was knocked off the road into a ditch and was seriously damaged, while the truck had pulled over to the side of the road with fairly minor body damage.

First responders were at the scene quickly and traffic slowed to a crawl, with single lane traffic in both lanes and long back-ups.
