If you have a chai tea lover in your life, then this recipe will make the perfect gift this holiday season. I have been searching for a recipe like this for a while now because my mother absolutely loves chai tea. She loves drinking it, but hates paying $4-$5 per jug of liquid chai tea concentrate at the store.

I wanted to find an easy and cheaper to make recipe to help satisfy my mother’s love of this sweet drink. Most of the ingredients needed to make this recipe I keep as staples in my house, so the list of things I need to buy was pretty short.

I’m going to make this holiday chai tea mix for my mother for Christmas. I plan on putting it in a mason jar, dressed up with a festive bow, some ribbon and a nice holiday tag with instructions. I just know she’ll love it.

Holiday Chai Tea Mix

1 cup powdered milk

1 cup powdered nondairy creamer

1 cup powdered French vanilla nondairy creamer

2 1/2 cups white sugar

1 1/2 cups powdered Nestea or Lipton tea

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

2 teaspoons ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon ground cardamom

Throw the powdered milk, creamer, French vanilla creamer, sugar, tea, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves and cardamom into a large bowl and whisk until well combined. Take 1 cup at a time and process the mix in a food processor until it resembles a fine powder. (A blender will also work if you don’t have a food processor.)

Mix 2 heaping tablespoonfuls of holiday chai tea mix into 8-10 ounces of hot water. Stir together and serve.
