Remember this? The photo that I uploaded a few months back that went viral and inspired many Missoulians to hop on board with their own pictures? You thought we were done! Like we made our point and now we were just going to go on with our lives?!? Think again. We are only getting started.

What began as a flash of inspiration at my work desk one day after reading all the terrible news that is plaguing our town has now become this seasons major marketing campaign for our local University of Montana’s Student Assault Resource Center, YWCA Missoula, Blue Mountain Clinic and the Crime Victim Advocate program. Now our message will make an impact on the streets of Missoula in ways that I could not have done on my own.

People of Missoula are taking this town back in full force! Our campaign, only growing stronger. Our message, only louder. All thanks some very powerful allies and their generous funding and contribution to the message that still resonates even weeks after the topic was trending in our city.

First stop: the Western Montana Fair- Just look at this ! I'm not kidding. I cried tears of joy when I saw these photos on Facebook today.

Missoula's Intervention in Action Project has joined forces with Marketplace Media to host a photo booth at the fair this week. This way everyone can join in on sharing this very important message. The goal is to rally up as many photos and testimonials so that we can begin the next phase of our social marketing campaign. All of these photos captured will be shared on Facebook, then will soon migrate to our..

Next stop: University of Montana campus- Expect to see these kinds of photos and more all over our campus as we attempt to hit the area of our town that needs this message more than most.

And then: the streets- Following that campaign we might expect to see billboards in the surrounding outskirts of Missoula, possibly the rural areas that may not have been exposed to this message.

Like I said, ways that I could not have done on my own...

I'm still in awe and so very thankful to see this go to such heights. Without the YWCA and their very caring staff, my emotion-filled rant scrawled on a yellow notepad may have just become last weeks old news.

If you want to assist in helping spread this message and "Make Your Move" to end sexual violence in Missoula please visit the photo booth this week at the Western Montana Fair and Rodeo, also make sure to like the official fan page for the latest photos from people just like you.

If you want to assist with the campaign even further, please reach out to Kelly McGuire at 1-866-921-6995 or email her today at kmcguire@co.missoula.mt.us
