Harry Davids Bar, Still In Business After Close Call

Midtown Missoula's finest entertainment establishment, Harry David's Bar thankfully dodged a bullet last Wednesday when word arrived from the management that their doors might be closing for an undetermined amount of time.

As I was on the air last Tuesday announcing details about our weekly Harry David's WTF Wednesday party, I immediately received a phone call from one of the owners explaining that Harry's might not even be able to stay open due to unreleased complications. At the time of that phone call the situation was still "up in the air" and as a result I was instructed to hold all promotional announcements until after the next days emergency owners and partners meeting.

The rumors sent huge shock waves throughout our town while friends clamored on Facebook that day in an all-out effort to rally support for this multi-purpose bar with a final party blowout.

Missoula quickly answered the call and literally packed Harry Davids last Tuesday for what was supposed to be it's final night in business. Tears were shed, hugs were passed around and great memories were shared. But once the patrons woke up the next morning they were treated with very refreshing news. It seems that after the owners had their Wednesday closed door meeting they were finally able to come up with a solution that kept the bar alive and ready to entertain their customers yet again without even skipping a beat.

Whew.. I have personally grown very attached to my friends and family at Harry Davids over the past year while DJing there each Wednesday, and it's so great to hear that the whole crew is still able to run such a fun establishment. It's my hope that you can come and support this place as often as you can so we can ensure that there will always be a place to enjoy great company and a venue that offers much more than just a comfortable bar stool.
