Hamilton Lady Broncs Win State Class A Girls Championship

The Hamilton Lady Broncs defeated the Butte Central Lady Maroons 58 to 46 in the Montana Class A High School Championship game.

The Lady Broncs went out to an early lead and stayed there throughout the game as the younger Butte Central team closed the gap in the second half but couldn't keep up with the Hamilton girls - who were excellent at the foul line.

This is the first Lady Broncs State Championship since 1984.

Earlier Saturday evening, Columbia Falls defeated Frenchtown 67 to 34 for 3rd Place. All four top state finishers were from the Southwestern Division.
