What, they already played today? Yep, while some of us were trying to wake and gear up for a Friday, the Montana Grizzlies were already playing basketball.

It was a bit of a slow start, but the Griz quickly built a six-point halftime lead into a 20+ point margin, and cruised to a 93-66 win over Incarnate Word in the opening game of the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase basketball tournament. Maybe even a better win considering the Griz are without one of their star players, Jamar Akoh, who is nursing a hand and wrist injury.

Seniors Michael Oguine (25 points) and Ahmaad Rorie (18 points) came up big, as did junior Sayeed Pridgett (19 points). The Griz continue play Saturday and Sunday.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SATURDAY COVERAGE:  Montana basketball against either North Dakota State or Miami of Ohio will air at 3:00 p.m.  Because of conflicts with Griz/Cat football coverage, Saturdays game is only available at gogriz.com

The Sunday game, opponent and time to be determined, will air at the usual home of the Griz, KGVO 98.3/1290. We wish the guys continued success on the grueling road assignment to Nassau, Bahamas. :-)
