Rapper Fetty Wap has reached a milestone in his burgeoning career. The New Jersey rhymer earned his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with his eponymous debut effort via 300 Entertainment.

According to Billboard, the set moved 129,000 copies in its first week of release. Of that total, 75,000 in pure album sales.

Fetty Wap’s chart achievement is buoyed by his impressive stats on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Remy Boyz leader has three rising songs on the tally: “Trap Queen” (No. 2), “679” (No. 6) and “My Way” (No. 7).

Fetty Wap is the first rapper to reach the top spot with a debut album since A$AP Rocky premiered at the apex with Long.Live.A$AP in February 2012.

The news of his first No. 1 album comes bittersweet as the 24-year-old rapper is still recovering from his motorcycle accident last month. Fetty Wap broke three parts of his left leg after he collided with an oncoming vehicle while riding his bike in Paterson, N.J.

Paterson police hit the rapper with three summonses including one for driving without a license. He also received a few tickets for not having insurance and for failure to produce a vehicle registration card.

Legal struggles aside, you can see Fetty Wap in Ty Dolla $ign's latest video for "When I See Ya."

Congratulations to Fetty Wap!
