Are you hungry? How about having a feast? No, not the kind that makes it hard for you to fit in that bikini in a month, but the kind that satisfies the hunger in your eyes. If you want a feast for the eyes and the imagination you should attend The University of Montana School of Art 2012 Bachelors of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition.

This event always offers a diverse array of media and content. Painting, drawing, sculpture, film, instillation, printmaking, photography and ceramics will all be featured. Due to the large number of students participating, 18 of the artists will have their exhibits at the Gallery of Visual Arts and six will have their art displayed at the University Center Gallery.

The Gallery of Visual Arts is located on the first floor of UM’s Social Science Building and is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays The University Center Gallery is located on the second floor of the University Center and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The Senior Thesis Exhibition will be displayed in the Gallery of Visual Arts from April 26 through May 11 and in the University Center Gallery from April 23 through May 11. The opening receptions are from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the University Center Gallery and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Gallery of Visual Arts on Thursday, April 26. A commencement reception will also take place at both galleries from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday May 11. The public is invited to enjoy the exhibits and there is no admission fee to attend. Everyone 18 and older is welcome to join us at the beaux art ball, those 21 and older can enjoy the alcoholic beverages.

Artists featured at the Gallery of Visual Arts are:  Yuanyuan (Jenna) Bao, Sean Bryers, Gregg Chambers, Ray Chapman, Rachel Colton, Ben Crawford, Alison Dillon, Jackson Goodell, Torrence Gustafson, Stephanie Kenny, David Miles Lusk, Clay Mahn, Jo Nasvik, Katherine Neiman, Jaquelyn Rauff, Shana Smith, Sarah Widhalm, and Kari Workman. Artists featured at the University Center Gallery are Shelby Baldridge, Jennifer Bardsley, Falina Lintner, William Serba, Chelsey Von Ehrenkrook, and Alana Wright.
