Fatal Hit And Run Investigation in Ronan [AUDIO]

Lake County authorities are investigating a fatal hit and run that occurred Tuesday night outside a bar in Ronan.

Lake County Undersheriff Dan Yonkin says the call came in to 9-1-1 at about 8:15 Tuesday night about a man lying unresponsive in the parking lot of a bar in Ronan. Yonkin says Ronan ambulance transported the unidentified 62 year-old man to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The man had apparently been struck by a vehicle which fled the scene. Yonkin says the man's identity is being withheld until his relatives can be notified.

Authorities are asking the public for any information that may help to identify the party responsible for the fatal hit and run to contact Lake County Crimestoppers at 406-883-7309.
