Missoula Independent and Montana Radio Company Present: The Zoo Music Awards

The Zoo Music Awards (ZooMA) are designed to thank and celebrate the talented musicians and show support to local music in our community. Our goal is to provide a platform for local artists to gain recognition and exposure in Montana’s music scenes and, hopefully, beyond!

The awards ceremony will be at the Wilma Theatre on March 2, 2013. This red-carpet event will announce the winners of each category and feature local celebrity presenters, live performances by local and regional musicians, plus a final set by national touring act The Moondoggies.

From Seattle’s vibrant roots music scene, the Moondoggies are a band schooled in much more than the common touchstones of the current Americana movement; there are no intentions of treading water stylistically here. It’s precisely this creative stretching that has resulted in the bands most artistic step forward to date: Tidelands.
