Gift wrapping at Red's Bar has become an annual Missoula tradition and it's a win/win for everyone involved.

A group of wonderful local women donate their time and talents each year to raise money for a Western Montana child in need. This year's recipient will be 13 year old Ryan Compton of Frenchtown.

He had a sinus infection that turned into bacterial meningitis (despite being vaccinated). He was airlifted to Seattle Children’s Hospital where he had brain surgery and had part of his skull removed. He is home now but will be returning multiple times to Seattle for follow up treatment.

Gift wrapping will take place on Thursday, December 20th, from 6 to 9 p.m. and December 21st through 24th from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and completely based on donations. What this means for you is that you can enjoy a few cocktails while your gifts are wrapped and you'll feel good knowing that you helped a local kid. You may also drop off your purchases while you continue to shop downtown!

If you'd like to volunteer or offer a donation, please reach out to Laurie at 546-7690 or lefties4now@gmail.com
