This recipe mixes two of my favorite foods in the world. It is a delicious medley of pumpkin pie and French toast. The great thing about it is that you can eat it like pumpkin pie with some whipped cream or eat it like French toast with butter and syrup.

I love to use a nice thick cut of bread when making this French toast. This recipe will almost use an entire loaf of bread. I have to make this much French toast because my boys love it. You can always make a half batch if you don’t want to make quite as much.

However, you may find that it’s so good that you want to eat all 16 pieces yourself.

Easy and Delicious Pumpkin Pie French Toast

4 eggs

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1-1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

4 tablespoons brown sugar

16 slices of thick bread

butter

Throw eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice and brown sugar into a dish or pan with a large flat bottom and then whisk until well combined.

Melt a dab of butter on a skillet over medium.

Soak the bread for 10 seconds on one side and then flip it over and soak it on the other side for another 10 seconds. Now put the bread on the skillet for three minutes or until golden brown and then flip it over and cook the other side until golden brown. Reapply butter to skillet as needed.
