Missoula City Fire department crews were called out to a structure fire early Saturday morning which took over a hour to bring under control.

Assistant Chief Jeff Brandt tells KGVO News that firefighters had to chop several holes in the roof of the structure to gain access to where the fire was burning. He said multiple additions allowed the fire to hide in difficult to reach areas.

Brandt estimates damage from fire, smoke and water to be over $75,000. He said no one was injured in the fire, and that crews were mopping up; at the scene by about 9:30 a.m.
