Students from around the country compete in the Doodle 4 Google contest in which their artwork can ultimately be featured on the Google homepage for a day. This year, students created doodles that told the world "What makes me...me." Voting for the contest ended yesterday, but one Missoulian is getting some exciting news this morning regarding the competition.

"The Doodle 4 Google Montana winner is our very own Jessica Novak. She's a senior here at Hellgate High School," Hendrix said. "We are celebrating her award and hoping and looking forward to her being the national award winner."

Hendrix said once the all 53 doodle winners are announced, the public will get to decide who the top five finalists are.

"The competition will be from Feb. 5 through the 22 for the public to vote on their favorites," Hendrix said "The number one winning doodle will win a $30,000 scholarship and $50,000 technology grant for their school."

Hendrix said the finalists will also have the opportunity to go to the Google headquarters to meet the Google Doodle team.
