The University of Montana Grizzly football team will be bringing their Great Griz Encounter home this year.

For you Griz fans who are just dying for kickoff by late August, the Great Griz Encounter is a must. And the traditional preseason pep rally is expanding its offerings, as it moves from Caras Park in downtown Missoula on a Thursday to Washington-Grizzly stadium on Wednesday, August 22. And this year's event will be much more than just an autograph session with the Grizzly football team!

Plan on a full evening of activities for the whole family, capped off with a screening of a family-friendly feature film on the giant Griz Vision screen, for the first Movie Night in stadium history. You'll have a chance to meet not only the Griz football team, but the volleyball team as well. The kids can cut loose in the bouncy house down on the field. Get this year's posters autographed and purchase some of the latest in Griz logo wear, too.

Our thanks to UM Sports Information Director Eric Taber for letting us spread the word early. We'll keep you updated through the summer as the 2018 football season starts to reach a fever pitch.
