41 year-old Andrew Hoskins is in the Missoula County Jail on felony charges of sexual intercourse without consent and assault with permanent or life threatening injury after allegedly attacking a woman he met on a dating website.

Hoskins appeared in Missoula Justice Court on Monday afternoon before Judge Marie Anderson.

Deputy County Attorney Kaitlin Williams asked Judge Marie Anderson for $75,000 bail.

According to court documents, on Friday Missoula County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to St. Patrick Hospital to interview the victim.

She stated that she had met Hoskins on the dating site ‘Plenty of Fish’. She went to his residence on Carlton Creek Road, when Hoskins ‘snapped’ and dragged the victim by her hair into his bedroom where he allegedly punched her repeatedly and slammed her head into the floor. He also bit her is several places and threatened to kill the victim and her child.

She was able to escape Hoskin’s residence and then flagged down a vehicle on Highway 93 and was taken to the hospital where she called the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office. She positively identified Hoskins from a photo, and the deputies arrested him at his residence.

Judge Anderson set bail at $75,000 and ordered Hoskins to appear again on December 27.
