Cheryl Hines Likely Returning for ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Season 9

It remains unclear exactly how long the ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm will take to get Larry David before the camera, but it appears as if yet another familiar face will be joining the fray. In addition to J.B. Smoove, Cheryl Hines is now officially expected to reprise her role as Larry’s ex-wife.

Entertainment Weekly got word from Hines herself, following her character’s divorce from Larry in the 2011 season, and last official appearance in 2009. The deal isn’t yet finalized, but Hines says:

As far as I know I am involved. I don’t know what the season is about or if I’m involved, but I texted Larry and he said if I’m not too busy he wants me to be in it. So, that’s all I know.

Thus far of Season 9, we know Jeff Schaffer will take a leading executive producer role in the new run between fellow alum David Mandel (Veep) and Alec Berg (Silicon Valley). Schaffer and Larry David have already moved into a “practical” phase of planning Season 9, aiming for a full ten episodes, as with prior years.

One would likely expect other Curb Your Enthusiasm mainstays to take part in such a long-awaited return, but who else might Season 9 bring?
