Could This Be the Solution To Drunk Driving in Montana?

We can hold the ones who drink and drive responsible, send them to jail, pay fines and take away their license. But by then it may be too late.

We can preach to the party-goers who are 21 and older to party responsibly, and to always bring along a designated driver. But by then, they are already set in their ways.

It seems that by the time people are old enough to drink they have this false sense of security with their ability to handle alcohol. That, or they are simply too prideful to ask for a ride home. Perhaps advocates against drinking and driving are starting their campaigns too late in the game? Could it be that we are asking adults to change their ways when they are all too set in them? Maybe we are aiming for the wrong target?

Perhaps we can get to them BEFORE it starts to become a problem. Instead, could influencing the children be the answer? Maybe, just maybe, we can influence the younger generation enough to cause a shift in the way they perceive the use of alcohol. Who knows? But it seems to be the only avenue left that may make the biggest impact.
