Brother Ali is hitting Missoula on his nationwide Mourning in America Tour.  The show is tomorrow (March 22) at Stage 112.  Show is for those 18+. Get tickets.  My only hesitation about the show is my concern Brother Ali will burn the place down with the fire he'll be spitting.

His new album "Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color" is a lighthouse for those in a fog of confusion, concern, and hope for our where we are as American people.  The album has layers of content, from personal to political, put into words that only Ali can deliver with an adamant yet comforting voice.

I have found myself confronted with the questions of how to feel on national and social issues.  The media has spun my head so much that I even argue with myself. One day I'm convinced I'm on the right side of social concerns. The next day I wake up and scold myself for even considering those thoughts.  Ali goes through this same battle with himself and comes through the other side with the only logical conclusion. Times have been hard. They still are. There is something  wrong here. Yet, there is hope.

Mourning in America and Dreaming in Color is an Album. It's a fully conceived thought. Listening from start to finish is the only way to digest it. Get it here, and get a glimpse with some videos from the album.
