It was reminiscent of the Wyoming game a few weeks ago, minus mountains, severe storms and altitude. Well, and outdoor football for that matter. The Montana Grizzly defense did all they could to keep top-ranked North Dakota State out of the end zone, but long drives and lots of yards on the ground led to five field goals by a talented kicker, and while the Bison only scored one touchdown, they held Montana scoreless in the second half, just as they have done in all four of their games this season, to secure a 22-10 victory over the Griz. Outside of a couple big pass plays, Montana didn't show much offense today against a tough defense and 18,000 hostile Fargo faithful. But they hardly embarrassed themselves against the three-time defending national champions, and hopefully the injury report is minor, as the Griz prepare for homecoming next Saturday vs. Northern Colorado.
