Big Sean, T.I., Tyga + More Feed Needy Families for Thanksgiving [PHOTOS]
This week as we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, several rappers took time out of their busy schedules to give back to their local communities. Big Sean, T.I., Tyga, Snoop Dogg and Ludacris are just some of the artists who handed out free turkeys and fed grateful people ahead of the holidays.
In Detroit, Big Sean, through his Sean Anderson Foundation, passed out turkeys and canned goods to folks at Detroit's River High School last Tuesday (Nov. 25). The 'IDFWU' rapper posted a photo on Instagram of him handing out turkeys. He writes:
(Me, Mom n Dad) Love to everybody who came out to our annual Turkey Giveaway yesterday in Detroit! Over a 1,000 turkeys n sides to families who needed it! Thanks to the mayor, @hiphopdetroit, Mike Epps, Terrence Wheeler, etc for coming together n making it huge! Happy Holidays! #Detroit"
Meanwhile, Tip kicked off a Turkey Giveaway at the Wade Walker Family YMCA in Stone Mountain, Ga. The rapper and his mom, Violetta Morgan, were on hand to give away hundreds of turkeys at the event. Elsewhere, Ludacris and his non-profit organization, Ludacris Foundation Giving Season Program, donated clothing, turkeys and food baskets to needy families at the Utopian Academy for the Arts in Riverdale, Ga.
On the West Coast, Snoop Dogg handed out turkeys at the Inglewood Forum in Inglewood, Calif. In Los Angeles, Tyga, along with his rumored girlfriend Kylie Jenner, and former L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, served hot meals to hundreds of underprivileged people at the Los Angeles Mission on Wednesday (Nov. 26). “Had a great time this morning feeding the homeless with the @thelamisson #Thankful #ThankYouGodAlways,” said Tyga.
Overall, it's good to see rappers take time out to give back to their local communities.
