At around 5:30 Sunday morning, March 30, Missoula county deputies responded to an alarm from Larry's Six Mile Bar in Huson.

"When they looked inside, they saw that the place had been pretty much ransacked," said Missoula County Sheriff's Office Public information officer Paige Pavalone. "It was determined, once they went inside, that entry was gained through the bathroom window. When suspects entered the window, they broke off the sink on the wall of the Men's bathroom."

The damage to Larry's Six Mile Bar didn't stop there.

"They proceed to go into the bar area and try to get into two keno machines, causing significant damage to them," Pavalone said. "Looks like they used a crowbar to try to go in and get money. Also, the cash register was off the counter, hanging by its cord. On top of that, some shakeaday coins were stolen. We're reaching out to the public to see if anyone has any information about who might be responsible for this."

The bar had installed a new surveillance system only days before the robbery, however, there have been difficulties finding video of the burglary because the new technology is unfamiliar. Images should be forthcoming, until then, there are few hints about the crime.

A walkie talkie, possibly belonging to the infiltrators was found on the scene.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Crimestoppers at 721-4444.
