4 Easy Fruit Adult Drinks for Summer
This weekend I’m headed out of town to enjoy a little mini vacation. I plan on relaxing, hanging out with friends and sipping on some adult beverages while enjoying the first bit of hot weather this summer.
10 Unusual Ways to Keep Cool This Summer
I’m tired of the same old ways to keep cool. Hanging out at the river, running through the sprinkler, cool towel on your forehead and spritzing yourself in front of a fan are so old school. I knew there had to be other ways to keep cool this summer. Thanks to the World Wide Web and my own noodle, I compiled a list of unusual ways to keep cool this summer. You can thank me later.
Missoula is Brave
Did you hear about this? I was watching the local news Thursday morning before work and couldn’t believe what I was hearing and seeing. The story seemed unreal.
Healthy Chocolate Pudding with Avocado Recipe
I love chocolate pudding. I have at least five boxes of instant pudding mix in my pantry at all times. My favorite is pistachio but chocolate is a very close second. I have to say that I’m not really certain how healthy or unhealthy instant pudding is for me. I know it takes a lot of milk to make, so I’m getting quite a bit of calcium in my diet, but other than that, I’m not really sure.
Rice Krispie Party Pop Recipe
My family loves Rice Krispie treats. I love them too. Not especially for how they taste, but because of how easy they are to make. They are an easy last-minute treat or dessert. They are also great because they don’t take expensive or strange ingredients. Most of these ingredients I keep in my pantry at all times.
My 5 Favorite Summer Coffee Hacks
Like most people, I love coffee. I’m convinced that I couldn’t survive without it. Well, maybe I could but my mornings would be much more terrible. They wouldn’t just be unpleasant for me but for everyone who was around me in the morning.
Pina Colada Frozen Yogurt Recipe
A couple years ago I bought an ice cream maker after tasting the ice cream my parents had made in theirs. If you’ve never had homemade ice cream before then you are missing out. No ice cream I’ve ever bought has come close to tasting as good as homemade does.
Easy and Delicious Edible Slime Experiment
It’s hard to keep kids still thinking about learning in the summer months. As a parent you have to think of sneaky ways to get them to even consider turning on their brains for science or math when all they want to is run through the sprinklers all day to beat the heat.
Why I Don’t do Weight Loss Programs and Health Plans
Is it just me or does it seem like everywhere you look someone is trying to get you to sign up or join one weight loss program or another? It seems like every time I’m scrolling through Facebook or oogling over Pinterest, I’m assaulted with one weight loss program or another.
This Lucky Girl Floated the Smith River
This past weekend my family and I floated the Smith River. For those of you who don’t know why this is such a big deal, I will tell you. Not just anyone can float this river anytime they want. You have to apply for a special permit to float the Smith. Not many permits are given out. People from all over the US and the world come to Montana to float this river.
Puppy Love? I Think Not
We recently got a puppy. You may be thinking that we are so lucky. Puppies are so fun and cute and they have that sweet smelling puppy breath. Others of you may even be jealous. Well, don’t be. Puppies are a pain in the butt.
4th of July Bark Recipe
This past weekend I was at a barbecue and the hostess had a nice big bowl of bark sitting on her table for everyone to enjoy. It’s one of those things I don’t normally think to serve at a get together, but I must say I enjoyed more than my fair share of it. I’d forgotten how much I like bark.
