A Fun 4th of July Alternative – Alberton’s River’s Edge Celebration

Why not do something different and fun on the 4th? Here's an option for you Missoulian's that's not too far down the road. It's the River's Edge Resort Independence Day Celebration!

Located a few miles west on I-90 at 168 S Frontage Rd E in Alberton, the River's Edge Resort is offering up their annual fireworks display and free BBQ. The food starts at 5 pm, and live music at 6pm. The band, Lefty Lucy will have the stage lit up with great music throughout the night. Lots of fun games for kids including a gunny sack race, watermelon eating contest, and water balloon toss along with a bouncy house and face painting. The first place winners of the games get some great prizes. Not to mention, a pie baking contest and the first place winner gets a cash prize (the judges will be announced that day). And of course, fireworks at dark! Everything with the exception of liquor is free. Food, no cover charge, fun: all free!

"We are super excited about this 4th of July." says restaurant assistant, Jenna Callison. "This year is more special to us because it's our 10 year anniversary, and we want to give back to the community for all of their support throughout the years."
