A Carousel for Missoula located downtown in Caras Park (map) has a fun event coming up. They're celebrating their 18th season running the carousel, and what better way to celebrate than a dinner and silent auction?

"On Thursday night we are going to have a celebration dinner and auction to celebrate our 18 years," Executive Director Theresa Cox explains. "We just want to invite everybody to come down and join us. It's pretty low key. The dinner is sponsored by John Thompson of Hobby Horse Arts. John is the official carousel artist, and there's just lots and lots of really great auction items."

Taco Sano and The Badlander are among some of the many vendors the carousel will be providing. Music by Headwaters will also be showcased.

Cox says something a lot of people don't realize is that the carousel downtown is a not-for-profit. The silent auction will help raise money to maintain the operations, and the upkeep of not only the carousel, but Dragon Hallow as well.

The event is located at the carousel downtown. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children.
