5 Tips To Help De-stress During The Holiday Season
We are rushing everywhere and making sure we don't forget anything during this holiday season. It is very stressful! So I have 5 tips for what you can do to make sure you don't completely lose your mind during this holiday season. I say holiday season because even when Christmas is over, New Years Eve parties can be very stressful as well. Alright, now to my 5 tips:
#1 TREAT YOURSELF - It is so easy to forget yourself during this time when you are busy running errands and getting gifts for everyone besides yourself. Don't forget you need to reward yourself too!
#2 WATCH A FUNNY MOVIE - Laughter is always the best medicine, and no matter how stressful your days become remember watching Melissa McCarthy or my personal favorite Chris Farley seems to make all the stress in the world go away!
#3 GO TO BED EARLY - Normally we are staying up later this time of the year making sure all the presents get wrapped and the decorations look just perfect. But everyone is cranky after not getting enough sleep, make it a priority!
#4 EXERCISE - When you are feeling all tense and rushed, that is the best time to hit the gym or just exercise at home if you don't have a membership. Normally this is the last thing I ever want to do, but it help enormously to release the built up stress!
#5 UNPLUG - Don't worry about what is on Facebook or Twitter, and understand it is OK if you don't see every Facebook post. Turn off your cell phone ringer and just enjoy the holiday season. The lights and the smells are only here for a short period of time so make sure you take time and enjoy them!
