40th Anniversary SNL, More Guests Confirmed

SNL, celebrates its 40th anniversary with a three-and-a-half-hour live episode on Sunday. More special guest have been confirmed! 

It's going to be a star-packed event with every SNL regular, guest host and musical guest getting an invite. So far, confirmed guests include Eddie Murphy, Justin Timberlake, Tina Fey, Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd,Alec Baldwin, Robert De Niro, Betty White and Kristen Wiig. Before the show begins at 8 p.m., there will be a red carpet event to welcome all the stars.

On Saturday at 9:30 PM. our time, NBC will repeat the very first episode of SNL, which aired October 11th, 1975, with George Carlin as host. Then the big show.

Meanwhile, Rolling Stone magazine has ranked all 141 cast members. John Belushi topped the list, with Eddie Murphy, Tina Fey, Mike Myers and Dan Aykroyd following behind. Dead last was Robert Downey Junior, who was on the show during the 1985-1986 season.
